Punjab Police's Anti-Gangster Task Force or AGTF has arrested Karmaveer Deo, who is said to be close to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and who reached India after being deported from Canada, from Delhi's IGI Airport. The police had already issued a lookout circular against him. According to the police, Karmaveer Deo is accused of helping Lawrence Bishnoi's brother Anmol Bishnoi to escape abroad and also providing shelter and other logistical help to people associated with the gang in America. It is also being told that Anmol Bishnoi had also stayed at his house in America.

According to information received from sources, Karmaveer Deo's name has also come up in the investigation related to the firing at the house of Punjabi singer AP Dhillon in Canada. However, investigation is still going on regarding his alleged role in this case. All these allegations will be confirmed only after investigation. It is reported that Karmaveer had gone to Canada after the FBI action started in America. Now as soon as he reached India after being deported from Canada, the Punjab Police took him into custody. Regarding this matter, the police will now interrogate him and investigate his role in alleged help in sending Anmol Bishnoi abroad, providing shelter to the gang members and other criminal cases. This action of Punjab Police is being considered very important in the direction of tightening the noose on gang networks based abroad.
