This proposal was approved in the Delhi Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. All Asha workers working in Delhi will benefit from this decision of the government.
Role of Asha workers is important, employed on 6,725 posts in Delhi
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that Asha workers are an important link in the primary health system of Delhi. She goes door-to-door to provide health related information to people and also motivates families to get vaccinated. Apart from this, Asha workers also assist in health services related to the care of pregnant women and mothers.
He said that Asha workers also play an important role in Health and Nutrition Day, health awareness programs, various surveys and community meetings. Even during the Corona epidemic, Asha workers had made an important contribution in providing health services to the people. Asha workers are currently employed on a total of 6,725 posts in Delhi. All these Asha workers will get the benefit by increasing the incentive amount from Rs 3,000 to Rs 6,000 by the government.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that the Delhi government was continuously discussing about increasing the honorarium of Asha workers. This decision was included in the priorities of the government. He said that the increase in monthly incentive amount is an important step towards honoring the contribution of ASHA workers as well as ensuring their economic security.
427 posts approved for 53 fast track special courts
Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu has approved the creation of 427 assistant posts for the effective functioning of 53 fast track special courts established in the capital. Reader, Senior Judicial Assistant, Stenographer, Ahlmad, Driver and Multi Tasking Staff will be appointed on these posts. The sanctioned posts include 58 Reader or Senior Judicial Assistant, 58 Senior Personal Assistant (Stenographer), 58 Personal Assistant (Stenographer), 58 Ahalmad or Judicial Assistant and 58 Assistant Ahalmad or Junior Judicial Assistant. Apart from this, posts of 20 staff car drivers and 117 multi-tasking staff have also been sanctioned. These sanctioned posts also include 10 percent leave reserved posts for various categories.
Proposal with financial burden of Rs 37.37 crore approved
The Finance Department has agreed to the proposal for creation of 427 assistant posts for 53 fast track special courts in Delhi. The creation of these new posts will impose a financial burden of about Rs 37.37 crore on the government. However, before making the new posts effective, a condition has been imposed to fill the 243 assistant posts lying vacant in the existing 415 courts on priority basis. Only after filling these vacancies, the new 427 posts sanctioned for 53 fast track special courts will be brought into operation.
