Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab Media Incharge Baltej Pannu, while making a scathing attack on Congress's Punjab Incharge Sachin Pilot's visit to Punjab, said that it is very surprising that the Congress leader who called himself a sailor and dreamed of becoming the Chief Minister, has completely sunk the Congress boat. Now the 'pilot' of the plane has been landed to save the sinking boat. Pannu said that Sachin Pilot is welcome in Punjab, but before the people of Punjab get votes, he will have to answer for the crimes of Congress.
1984 Sikh massacre and questions on Congress
Baltej Pannu directly asked Sachin Pilot why Congress always oppressed the minorities and why did it keep the accused of 1984 Sikh genocide in its clutches till today? He said that Congress always gave full protection and patronage to leaders like Sajjan Kumar and Kamal Nath, the main accused in the 1984 massacre. Why do Congress leaders still consider these murderers as their ideal leaders?
Demand for morality and accountability from Congress
Pannu further said that with what morality is the Congress party, which shed the blood of Sikhs on the streets of Delhi, asking for votes from Punjabis today? The stains of the atrocities committed by Congress on Sikhs in 1984 can never be washed off. Before campaigning in Punjab, Sachin Pilot should make it clear to the country which Congress leaders were behind the 1984 massacre, why were they saved till date, and when will Congress stop considering them as their ideal leaders?
