New Delhi. Under the Modi government's zero tolerance policy against terrorism, the Home Ministry has declared Shehzad Bhatti Network as a terrorist organization. Taking action under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the government has included Shehzad Bhatti Network in the list of banned terrorist organizations. Information about this action has been given by the Home Ministry. It has also been reported that the Shahzad Bhatti network is involved in cross-border smuggling of weapons, explosives and narcotics. Incites youth and petty criminals towards terrorism.
The work of radicalizing innocent youth by giving them various kinds of inducements and motivating them for anti-national activities is also done by this network. The Home Ministry also said that this syndicate also keeps circulating hate content on social media, targeting India's democratic structure and communal harmony. His gang, which promotes terrorism, is involved in many violent activities. The Shahzad Bhatti network is accused of being involved in grenade, IED and petrol bomb attacks as well as target killings. Just last month, Indian security agencies had arrested more than 200 people from 14 states by conducting a campaign against the terror module of ISI-backed terrorist group Shehzad Bhatti Network. 62 people were arrested from Uttar Pradesh, 52 from Haryana, 51 from Delhi and 44 from Punjab, 15 from Rajasthan, 8 from Maharashtra and 5 from Uttarakhand, 3 each from Gujarat, Karnataka, Bihar and 2 each from Kerala, Telangana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu Kashmir. A huge quantity of IEDs, grenades with Pakistan Ordnance Factory marking, pistols, live cartridges and CCTV cameras used for espionage and other items were recovered from them.
