Farmer Solution Day was organized in Vikas Bhawan Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Firozabad Santosh Kumar Sharma. During this, the District Magistrate instructed the concerned officials to ensure quality and immediate resolution of the problems of the farmers. He said that through Kisan Samadhan Diwas, farmers should be provided with solutions to their problems as well as useful information related to agriculture and farmers' interest. The District Magistrate directed that during Kisan Samadhan Diwas, farmers should be given information about various schemes and facilities by distributing useful literature and setting up agricultural stalls. Additional District Magistrate Namami Gange was named nodal officer for effective disposal of revenue related complaints.
He appealed to the farmers to participate in maximum numbers in the Kisan Samadhan Diwas organized on the third Wednesday of every month and put forward their problems and suggestions before the officials.
appeal not to burn stubble
Chief Development Officer Shatrohan Vaishya said that the problems of farmers related to Gram Panchayats will be resolved immediately. He appealed to the farmers not to burn the stubble after harvesting the paddy crop.
Emphasis given on getting farmer registry done
Deputy Agriculture Director Satyendra Pratap Singh informed the farmers about various schemes of the Agriculture Department. He told that it is necessary to get farmer registry done to avail the benefits of various schemes including obtaining fertilizers and seeds, subsidy on agricultural equipment, crop insurance, Kisan Credit Card and purchase of food grains.
He said that farmers can contact the Public Service Center, Accountant, Village Secretary or Agriculture Department employees to get the Farmer Registry made. Also, an appeal was made to the farmers to immediately add the missing gats to their farmer registry, so that they can continue to get the benefits of government schemes. Correction of errors in Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana can be done through Jan Seva Kendra from the missing update option of PM Kisan Portal.
Information given about Rabi season crops and seeds
District Agriculture Officer Sumit Kumar Chauhan said that in the upcoming Rabi season, minikit of oilseed crop Rapeseed will be distributed through e-lottery. Interested farmers can apply through the website of the Agriculture Department. He informed that seeds of improved varieties of barley, gram, lentil and wheat will be available on subsidy at government seed stores.
Information about animal vaccination and toll free service
Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Somesh Gupta told the farmers that FMD and LSD vaccination campaign is being conducted in the district. Vaccination of animals is being done in the villages by departmental teams. He informed about getting appropriate solution by contacting toll free number 1962 in case of animal related emergency.
Information about grant scheme on potato storage
District Horticulture Officer Chandraprakash Awasthi informed about the scheme of exemption in storage charges of potatoes stored in private cold storages. He said that under the scheme, a maximum grant of Rs 20,000 is given to the farmers storing potatoes in private cold storages up to the limit of two hectares per farmer. Interested farmers can avail the benefits of the scheme by registering on the concerned departmental portal through the Public Service Center.
Senior scientist Prithvi Pal Singh gave detailed information to the present farmers regarding measures to prevent fruit fly in horticultural crops like gourd, ridge gourd and pumpkin etc.
