With the help of Abhishek's century and Sanju Samson's 50 runs, India built a mountain of 221 runs. By the end of the first innings, the Indian team had completely taken control of the match.

Chasing a mammoth target of 222 runs, Afghanistan got off to a disappointing start and the entire team looked under pressure from the start.
