Delhi Police have arrested two individuals in connection with the alleged murder of Yuvraj Singh Manchanda, a 31-year-old resident of Sarita Vihar who was reported missing by his family. Preliminary investigations suggest that a financial dispute may have been the motive behind the killing.
Both suspects are reportedly residents of Gurugram. The woman arrested had previously been employed with Manchanda, while the second individual is alleged to be her accomplice.
Manchanda was reported missing by his sister on September 11 after the family lost contact with him for several days. His body was subsequently discovered.
According to a family statement, Gurugram Police found Manchanda’s body on September 10, a day before the missing person report was filed. The family claimed that the body was cremated on September 14 in “extraordinary haste” without notifying them or following proper procedure. They also alleged that Manchanda’s body was not recorded on ZIPNET, a database used to identify unidentified bodies and trace missing persons.
Delhi Police are currently questioning the arrested suspects to determine the motive, uncover any additional accomplices, and establish a full timeline of the crime. Further details are awaited.
