Batting first, the Indian team scored 221 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Chasing the target, Afghanistan team was all out for 94 runs in 14.1 overs. Abhishek Sharma completed his half-century by hitting a six. He scored a half-century in just 16 balls. Talking about Sanju Samson who was supporting him, he completed 50 runs in 35 balls. There was a partnership of 142 runs in 59 balls between the two openers of the Indian team. Added full 100 runs in the powerplay (first 6 overs) without losing any wicket.
