Husband murdered in dispute of Rs 15 lakh, four including wife, son and daughter arrested; dead body thrown in the canal

Eta. A case of murder of a person has come to light in a dispute over the amount of about Rs 15 lakh received from selling a plot. According to the police, Udayveer (36) was strangled to death by his wife, son, minor daughter and others. After the incident, there is an allegation of taking the body in an e-rickshaw and throwing it in the canal. The police have arrested the accused including the wife and the dead body is being searched.

Udayveer was a resident of Lalpur Kalyanpur village of Etah and lived in a rented house in Heera Nagar with his wife Sangeeta and three children. According to the police, he had sold his plot a few days ago for about Rs 15 lakh. He was having a dispute with his wife regarding this amount. It is alleged that after this dispute on the night of 8th September, the wife murdered him with the help of son, daughter and two other people.

When Udayveer did not reach the village for several days, his brother Ajab Singh became worried. After not getting satisfactory information from his wife, he filed a complaint in Kotwali Nagar and expressed fear of something untoward happening to his brother. After this, the police registered a case under relevant sections including murder and started investigation. During interrogation, the police started getting links to the incident.

According to the police, after the murder, the accused left in an e-rickshaw to dispose of the body. First reached near the canal of Chhachena area, but changed the plan after seeing the presence of police there. After this, it has come to light that the dead body was thrown near the canal located at Arthara. Police are now searching for the body in Hazara Canal and help of divers is also being taken.

First a plan was made to poison

Another aspect has also come to light in the police interrogation. According to the police, Sangeeta had allegedly asked Charan Singh, with whom she had been in contact for about 14 years, to arrange poison. He did not administer the poison due to fear of being caught later. After this, there was a discussion on the phone about the murder plan and the way to dispose of the body and the conspiracy to murder by strangulation was allegedly carried out.

Police have arrested wife Sangeeta, sons Anshul and Charan Singh in the case, while the minor stepdaughter has been taken into police custody. The search for another accused is said to be ongoing. The e-rickshaw used in the incident has also been recovered. According to CO City Kirtika Singh, the search for the body and further legal action in the case is ongoing.
