Telangana High Court disqualifies Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagendra

New Delhi. Telangana High Court on Friday, September 18 has disqualified Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender. This decision has been given by the bench of Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice GM Mohiuddin of Telangana High Court. The decision of Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker has been cancelled. The High Court rejected the order of Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, in which he had rejected the petition seeking disqualification of Danam Nagendra.

Know what was the matter?

Let us tell you that Danam Nagendra had won the 2023 assembly elections on Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) ticket. After this he joined the Congress Party and contested the 2024 Lok Sabha elections on a Congress ticket from Secunderabad seat. Petitioners BJP MLA Alletti Maheshwar Reddy and BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy had filed a petition in the court against him to disqualify him under the anti-defection law.
