Bharatiya Janata Party has made up its mind to contest the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections with full force. All the party leaders have made it clear that BJP will contest the elections alone on all the 117 seats in the state. Along with this, BJP is now attacking the Aam Aadmi Party state government on the issue of drugs. Today in Punjab, BJP has started 'Drug Free Punjab Yatra'. Through this yatra, BJP will cover all the 117 assembly constituencies of Punjab and will raise the issue of drug addiction among the people. BJP is trying to prepare political ground for itself in Punjab through this issue.
'Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra' is not a single journey, but a campaign of four separate journeys, which will cover a distance of about 4,000 kilometers and reach all the 117 assembly seats of Punjab. This campaign of BJP will conclude on 30th September in Jalandhar. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to attend and address the closing rally here. All the big leaders of BJP will participate in this yatra and it is also being considered as the formal beginning of the upcoming assembly elections by BJP.

The journey started from Pathankot
BJP has been strongest in the border areas of Punjab and Pathankot is a strong fort of the party. The party has chosen this place to start its journey. BJP National President Nitin Nabin started this journey from Pathankot today. This yatra will pass through many assembly constituencies of Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Firozpur, Kapurthala and Jalandhar ahead of Pathankot. This route will include Sujanpur, Pathankot, Bhoa, Dinanagar, Gurdaspur, Qadian, Batala, Dera Baba Nanak, Ajnala, Attari, all five seats of Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Khemkaran, Patti, Firozpur, Zira, Sultanpur. A total of 34 assembly constituencies including Lodhi, Kapurthala, Nakodar and Shahkot are included.
Second journey from Fatehgarh Sahib
BJP will start the second yatra tomorrow which will start from Gurudwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has been given the responsibility of flagging off this yatra.
Before concluding in Jalandhar, the yatra will visit Samrala, Payal, Khanna, Amloh, Fatehgarh Sahib, Bassi Pathana, Dera Bassi, S.A.S. It will pass through Nagar, Kharar, Chamkaur Sahib, Ropar, Anandpur Sahib, Garhshankar, Chabbewal, Hoshiarpur, Sham Chaurasi, Dasuha, Mukerian, Urmur, Adampur, Balachaur, Nawanshahr, Banga and Phagwara assembly constituencies.
Third trip from Fazilka
The third yatra will begin from the 1971 War Memorial at Sadiq Border in Fazilka on September 20 and Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal will flag off the yatra. The yatra will pass through the areas of Fazilka, Abohar, Muktsar, Bathinda, Faridkot, Moga, Ludhiana and Malerkotla. About 22 assembly constituencies are included in this route. The yatra will cover Fazilka, Balluana, Abohar, Jalalabad, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Malout, Gidderbaha, Jaito, Kotkapura, Faridkot, Bagha Purana, Nihal Singh Wala, Dharamkot, Moga, Jagraon, Raikot, Dakha, Malerkotla, Amargarh, Gill, Sahnewal and Ludhiana urban assembly constituencies.
fourth trip
The fourth yatra will start from Gurdwara Sri Damdama Sahib in Talwandi Sabo on September 21 and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will flag off the yatra. This yatra will pass through Talwandi Sabo, Maur, Rampura Phul, Bhuchho Mandi, Bathinda Rural, Bathinda Urban, Mansa, Sardulgarh, Budhlada, Bhadaur, Barnala, Mahal Kalan, Dhuri, Sangrur, Sunam, Didba, Lehragaga, Shutrana, Nabha, Patiala Rural, Patiala Urban, Sanaur and Rajpura assembly constituencies. These four yatras will conclude on September 30 in Jalandhar and on this occasion BJP will organize a big rally. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address this rally.

Plan for victory on the lines of Bengal
Bharatiya Janata Party has formed its government for the first time in West Bengal this year. Like Punjab, BJP also did not have a support base in Bengal but now BJP is in power there. In such a situation, BJP is hopeful that the party can form the government in Punjab also and work is being done here on the lines of Bengal. In Bengal, BJP had taken out 'Parivartan Yatra' against Mamata Banerjee's government. Now in Punjab also BJP is working on the same model and the party has raised the biggest issue of the state. The effects of drug addiction are visible in most of the villages of Punjab and it has become the biggest issue in the state for the last several elections. Now BJP is trying to reach out to the people of Punjab with the help of this.
