Instamart Ganeshotsav Trends 2026 : In this Ganeshotsav, India emphasized more carefully the things that are brought home for the arrival of Bappa. Demand for eco-friendly clay idols saw the highest jump (176%); Mawa Modak was the most ordered flavor (145%) during the year. Also, on the morning of the festival, all the necessary items from flowers to modaks were delivered in such order as if the actual puja was going on. Clay idols account for 90%
Eco-friendly Ganapati has become enshrined in more and more homes. Ready-made clay idols accounted for 90% of the total demand, followed by 'paint-your-own' eco-idols. Cities beyond the traditional centers of Ganeshotsav witnessed the largest growth. Delhi saw a 1,718% increase in Eco-Ganpati orders, followed by Kolkata 1,305%, Noida 1,136% and Bhubaneswar 1,132%.
Dhoom of Mawa Modaks
Among the festive sweets, mawa modaks remained the leader, followed by classic, saffron, kaju, assorted and mango modaks. Each city had a different flavor preference. Mava Modak was leading in Bangalore, Mumbai and Hyderabad. While Delhi and Gurgaon tended towards saffron, Pune, Chennai, Kolkata and Nagpur preferred the classic Modka. Central Goa followed a different path and gave first choice to Kaju Modka.

The demand for Puja thali was strong. On Ganesh Chaturthi (September 14, 2026) at 7:42 AM, flower orders hit a high of 868 orders per minute. When families welcomed Bappa home at 8:48 am, demand for eco-friendly clay idols peaked. Demand for puja materials including camphor, vati and incense sticks peaked at 9:45 am. And at 10:39 am it was offering time: orders for modaks peaked, with mava modak topping followed by saffron and classic modak.
