Samrat Chaudhary's big statement on Nitish Kumar's resignation
Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has recently made a big political revelation. During a program on Friday, he made it clear that Janata Dal United (JDU) national president and his predecessor Nitish Kumar had left the post of Chief Minister not under anyone's pressure, but on his own will. He clarified that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had never asked him to step down. Along with this, Chaudhary also reiterated that Nitish Kumar, who has recently become a Rajya Sabha MP, remains the undisputed leader of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar. His statement has come at a time when there are some murmurs and hesitations within JDU regarding the issue of implementing UCC in the country.
'BJP gave Nitish a chance to become CM for the first time'
State Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary further said that Nitish Kumar himself has admitted that in the year 2000, when BJP had more MLAs than his party, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had given him a great opportunity to become the Chief Minister for the first time. Chaudhary was referring to the political incident of the same year when Samata Party leader Nitish Kumar took oath as the Chief Minister after the hung assembly, but due to not being able to prove his majority, he had to resign within just a week. Samrat Chaudhary says that Nitish ji now wanted to respond to the same old goodwill.
Targeted the opposition by mentioning Lalu Prasad Yadav and history
Referring to the 'support' Nitish Kumar has always received from BJP, Samrat Chaudhary also openly cited Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav. He sarcastically said that Lalu ji had also reached the post of Chief Minister at one time only with the blessings of BJP. The old people of that era know very well that because of doing this, a Dalit leader Ramsundar Das was deprived of his full right and legitimate claim to become the Chief Minister. Let us tell you that in the year 1990, the Janata Dal government was formed with the external support of BJP, and at that time, Ramsundar Das was also in the race for the post of CM, who had lagged behind Lalu Prasad by a very small margin in the legislature party elections.
