Warren Buffett's son Howard: The world's biggest investment guru Warren Buffet has announced the successor to his trillion-dollar company. With this, his six-decade long tenure at the helm of this $1 trillion company is coming to an end. He has made his elder son Howard Graham Buffett the chairman of Berkshire Hathaway. The 96-year-old famous investor announced the move in a letter to shareholders on Friday. Buffett will become chairman emeritus with immediate effect, and will also remain a director on Berkshire's board. Howard, who has been on the company's board for nearly 33 years, will now focus on carrying forward the culture and working methods he has created.

Born in 1930 in Omaha, Nebraska, USA, Buffett is the son of American Congressman Howard Buffett. He bought his first stock at the age of 11 and filed his first tax return at just 13. As a schoolboy, he sold newspapers, chewing gum and Coca-Cola. Till his teenage years, he was earning continuously from small business.

Howard did not work as a businessman or with his father from the beginning. Before joining his father's company, Howard was a farmer, and that too not a small farmer, he was a farmer cultivating thousands of acres of land. Not only this, he started his career as a police sheriff. After this he also worked as a war photographer. Instead of running a big company, Howard used to run an NGO worth 1 billion dollars i.e. about Rs 9.6 thousand crores.
