Bihar recognized in National Film Awards ceremony
Four prominent film personalities from Bihar will be honored with the National Film Awards for 2024. This 72nd National Film Awards ceremony holds special significance for Bihar. Actor Sanjay Mishra, director Kamlesh K. Mishra, producer Minty Mishra and film critic Sanjeev Srivastava have been selected for the award.
President Draupadi Murmu will organize the award distribution ceremony on September 22 at Ekta Nagar (Kevadiya), Gujarat. Darbhanga's Sanjay Mishra will receive the Silver Lotus for Best Supporting Actor for his excellent performance in the film 'Bhakshak'. This film is inspired by the famous Muzaffarpur Girls Home incident.
Kamlesh K of Gopalganj. Mishra and Minty Mishra will be awarded the Silver Lotus for the best biographical/historical reconstruction/anthology film for the film 'Kakori'. The film is based on the historical 'Kakori Train Action' of 1925, which pays tribute to the freedom fighters.
