Now, Hrithik Roshan has also shown support for his Zindagi Na Meegi Dobara co-star. The actor liked an Instagram post that defended Katrina and criticised the unnecessary scrutiny surrounding her postpartum body and appearance on social media.
Hrithik Roshan Defends Katrina Kaif Amid Online Trolling
An Instagram post by Harshveer Jain drew attention as Katrina Kaif faced trolling over her postpartum weight gain. In a lengthy note, the social media user expressed sympathy for the troll who claimed Katrina was “finished” because she had gained weight after pregnancy. Hrithik Roshan also liked the post, bringing further attention to the message. Take a look:
In the opening slide, the user mentioned, “I crushed on Katrina Kaif all my teenage. Travelled the inter-state to catch a glimpse. Kept newspaper cutouts and movie posters, some even in my wallet. Watched movies because she was casted. And now when a troll says she’s finished because she put on post-pregnancy weight, I can only pity that troll.”
He added that those trolling Katrina are either young teenagers or grown men. He said that if the trolls are teenagers, he pities them because, instead of having a crush on a woman who is age-appropriate for them, they are choosing to criticise a woman their uncles once had a crush on. He also shared a message for teenagers who are confused about being called trolls for commenting on Katrina’s weight gain and appearance online.
“Please note that —She is a mother. She has a successful business. Signs of a fairly successful life, personal and professional. Your commentary on her won’t affect her. You are a nobody for her. But women around you will look at that and immediately both, be hurt and also take you for a woman hater. Hopefully, you don’t want either,” he mentioned.
