Appointment letters distributed to 249 candidates in Dehradun employment fair, more than 12 lakh youth benefited so far

Uttarakhand News: Even before the arrival of Diwali and festival season, a wave of happiness has spread among thousands of families in the country. A grand event of the 20th National Employment Fair was organized across the country on Saturday. On this special occasion, appointment letters were handed over to more than 51 thousand youth selected in different government departments and ministries. This huge event was organized simultaneously at 45 places in the country so that it could reach as many youth as possible.

The country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself participated in this program through video conferencing and encouraged the youth. He congratulated all the newly appointed youth and their families for this new beginning. Under this employment fair, which started in the year 2022, till now about 12 lakh 75 thousand youth have been given appointment letters for government jobs. This figure in itself is enough to show how fast the government is taking steps to provide employment to the youth and fulfill their dreams.

Huge enthusiasm for employment fair seen in Dehradun too

Like other parts of the country, the employment fair was very popular in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. Here Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Ajay Tamta participated as the chief guest and graced the program. The program was started with full rituals by lighting the lamp. After this, Dehradun Chief Income Tax Commissioner Renuka Jain Gupta warmly welcomed the minister by covering him with a shawl and giving him a memento.

Renuka Jain said in her welcome speech that getting a government job and holding its appointment letter is a big dream for any youth. Today, when these youth are receiving this letter, it is a matter of great pride not only for them but also for their entire family and parents. He praised all the youth for their years of hard work and dedication. In this fair organized in Dehradun, appointment letters were distributed to a total of 249 youth. These are the youth who will now serve in many important departments like Survey of India, Income Tax Department, All India Institute of Medical Sciences i.e. AIIMS, Railways, Postal Department and Defense Ministry and will contribute to the development of the country.

Youth got big responsibility to serve the country

While addressing the youth during the program, Union Minister Ajay Tamta said very inspiring things. He said that every youth who has been preparing hard for a government job for years has a question in his mind that in which department he will get a chance to work in the end. Today that long wait for all of you is over. He said that joining these prestigious departments of the government is a big step in your career which will change your life.

The Minister appealed to the youth that they should not be limited to just getting a job but should continuously improve their skills and abilities by joining the government's iGOT Karmayogi platform. He reminded the youth that our aim is to make India a developed nation by 2047 and the honesty and public service of every government employee will play a very important role in fulfilling this big resolution.

PM Modi showed the youth a new path of progress

While addressing the employment fair virtually, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also filled new enthusiasm among the youth. He said that in this pleasant festive season, this employment fair has brought new hope and happiness to thousands of homes. The PM laid special emphasis on the fact that today our youth are becoming a part of the government system at a time when the country is running on the path of development at a very fast pace. Referring to the wonderful initiatives like New Education Policy, Skill India Mission and Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, he said that the youth are being prepared according to the new needs of today.

Modi ji also praised the growing startup ecosystem in small cities. He said that today the youth of small towns are also coming up with new ideas and strengthening the country's economy by starting their own businesses. He urged all the youth to always keep learning something new.

Great journey of employment fair and transparency in selection

On this special occasion, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh also informed about important changes made in the recruitment process. He said that now government examinations and selection process have become much more transparent and cleaner than before. He also told the youth about a new initiative like Pratibha Setu Portal. This portal helps those promising youth who reach the last stage of a difficult examination like Civil Services but due to some reason do not get the final selection. This portal will be of great help in providing good opportunities to such youth in private and other public institutions. Let us tell you that the job fair had a grand start on 22 October 2022.

The government's target was to provide government employment to 10 lakh youth within a stipulated time frame. In the very first fair, appointment letters were distributed to 75 thousand youth and now by the 20th edition this count has crossed 12 lakh. All the government agencies like UPSC, SSC and Railway Recruitment Board are selecting these promising youth with complete honesty and transparency. Today, this program organized across the country including Dehradun has proved to be a milestone for the youth and has given them a big opportunity to participate in nation building.
