The 31-year-old England pacer Brydon Carse will not face any investigations from Derbyshire police after a nightclub incident following a county game. The charges have been dropped against the pacer for being intoxicated and disorderly conduct.
The Durham seamer was dropped from the English side against Pakistan. After the county game between Durham and Derbyshire, which the former won by a massive margin, the bowler was arrested, causing massive controversy.
The local police released a statement saying, “A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly in Derby city centre on Saturday night. However, the man was de-arrested shortly afterwards having agreed to leave the area.”
“We are investigating allegations of an assault in Derby city centre. No arrests have yet been made, and the investigation is ongoing.”
After the matter was closed, a statement was released. “Investigation into reports of an assault in Derby city centre has been closed. Officers attended Molly Malone’s in The Wardwick, Derby, in the early hours of Sunday, 23 August.”
England white-ball coach Brendon McCullum recently spoke to the media. “I have spoken to Carsey a lot, and he needs to make good decisions off the field to become the best version of yourself.”
England looking for series whitewash against Sri Lanka
Harry Brook‘s side has won the first two games in the current T20I series against Sri Lanka. The final match of the series will be played on Saturday evening in Manchester. The hosts won the first game by a massive margin of 119 runs and secured the series with a six-wicket win in Cardiff.
If Buttler created history in the previous match, becoming the first batter to notch up 15,000 runs in T20 cricket. He went past Kieron Pollard, who had 14,999 runs.
