New Delhi: There is big news related to scholarship for students across the country. The process of online application under the scholarship scheme for postgraduate studies for the academic year 2026-27 has started. Eligible students can apply till 31 October 2026.
10 thousand students will get benefit
Under this scheme, 10 thousand students will be selected from across the country. Selected students will be given scholarship at the rate of Rs 15 thousand per month for 10 months in a year. This financial assistance will be available for a maximum of two years. With this, students pursuing higher education will get financial support during their studies. However, the benefit of scholarship will be available only to those students who fulfill the prescribed eligibility conditions.
Selection will be done on the basis of merit
Students will be selected on the basis of All India Merit List. Under the scheme, 30 percent of the total seats are reserved for girl students. In this category, there is a provision to give priority to single daughter, twin daughters and sibling daughters. Whereas, selection for the remaining 70 percent seats will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the graduation examination. Therefore, before applying, it is important for the candidates to read the rules related to eligibility and selection of the scheme carefully.
You can apply till 31st October
The online application process has started from 16 September 2026. Interested students can apply through the National Scholarship Portal till the last date of 31 October 2026. While applying, students should enter their educational documents and other important information correctly. Providing wrong or incomplete information may affect the application. Therefore, it is important to check all the details thoroughly before submitting the form.
