Uttarakhand News: Sunday was a day of new possibilities of development at the Chief Minister's residence in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. Rakesh Shukla, cabinet minister of Madhya Pradesh government and head of the New and Renewable Energy Department, paid a courtesy call on state Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. During this important meeting, Forest and Technical Education Minister of Uttarakhand Government, Subodh Uniyal was also specially present. The atmosphere of the meeting was completely cordial, where long discussions took place between the two states on sharing administrative experiences and taking forward public welfare schemes. Both the leaders emphasized that this coordination between the two major states of the country will open new avenues of development in the times to come.
Intensive discussion on development plans and public interest
During the meeting, current developments as well as major development schemes going on in both the states were discussed in detail between Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Madhya Pradesh Energy Minister Rakesh Shukla. Both the leaders acknowledged that continuous innovation is required to raise the standard of living of the common people. Both the states of Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand are making policies according to their geographical and social priorities. In such a situation, it was agreed to learn from each other's successful experiments and implement the schemes more effectively in their respective states. Both representatives agreed that inter-state dialogue on issues of public interest further strengthens democracy and good governance.
Special focus on green energy and sustainable development
A large part of the discussion with Rakesh Shukla, who is heading the New and Renewable Energy Department in Madhya Pradesh, focused on the future of clean energy. Uttarakhand is known for its hydropower wealth and natural beauty, while Madhya Pradesh has worked extensively in the field of solar energy and wind energy in the last few years. The meeting discussed how both the states can jointly promote clean energy production. Exchange of technical knowledge and experiences on serious issues like establishment of solar power plants, environmental protection and reducing carbon emissions was said to be extremely important. Chief Minister Dhami said that being a Himalayan state, environment friendly energy solutions are very important for Uttarakhand.
Strong thread of cultural relations and cooperation
Taking the discussion forward, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that there has been a very old and deep relationship between Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh not only at the administrative level but also at the cultural and intimate level. He said that when two states share their best practices with each other, it not only increases administrative efficiency but also speeds up the pace of implementing policies. CM Dhami emphasized that Uttarakhand can also learn a lot from the innovations made by Madhya Pradesh in the field of energy and rural development, just as Uttarakhand's experiences in tourism and environmental management can prove useful for other states.
Appreciation of Uttarakhand's development model
On this occasion, Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Minister Rakesh Shukla also wholeheartedly praised the public welfare works being done by the Uttarakhand government. He said that despite adverse geographical conditions, under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the state has made unprecedented progress in the field of infrastructure, road connectivity and religious tourism. Rakesh Shukla told how the Madhya Pradesh government is continuously taking new steps to provide affordable and sustainable green energy to its citizens. He expressed hope that this positive dialogue started between the two states will open many new doors for energy security and economic development in the future. Both sides reiterated their commitment to continue such dialogue in the future also.
