New Delhi: Iran has once again moved towards talks to end the ongoing conflict with America. Tehran has told its conditions to the mediating countries, on the basis of which it is ready for re-negotiations with America. Iran’s security chief Mohsin Rezai gave this information in an interview given to Al Jazeera on Saturday.
Awaiting Donald Trump’s response
According to Rezai, Iran’s main conditions include ending the war on all fronts, freeing Iranian funds frozen abroad and lifting the naval blockade. He said that discussions are going on with the mediators of Qatar and Pakistan. Tehran is now waiting for the reaction of US President Donald Trump.
Iranian army warned America
Meanwhile, on Sunday, Iran’s state media, quoting the country’s Central Military Command, claimed that Tehran has received information that the US is preparing to take military action again against Iran with the support of some regional countries. The Iranian army has given a strong warning on this. The army says that if America launches any attack, there will be continuous attacks on American military bases and interests present in the area. Additionally, regional countries that supported US actions will also be considered parties to the conflict.
Iran put forward security concerns
On the one hand, Iran has set conditions for ceasefire and negotiations, while on the other hand it has adopted a tough stance regarding possible US military action. Rezai also mentioned other conflicts in the region. He said that Iran wants to help end the ongoing war between Saudi Arabia and Yemen. Apart from this, Tehran is also ready to play a role in reducing tension between Afghanistan and Pakistan. In this way, while keeping the diplomatic route open, Iran has also clearly put forward its security concerns.
