For this reason he came to be called the 'Badman' of Bollywood. Gulshan Grover, born on 21 September 1955 in New Delhi, turns 71 today. In his career spanning four decades, he has acted in more than 400 films. However, it was not easy for him to reach this point. He sold goods from door to door to meet the expenses of his studies.
Inclination towards acting since childhood
Gulshan Grover was interested in acting since childhood. He started participating in Ramlila while studying in third and fourth class. Gradually his hobby increased and he remained associated with theater even during his college days. He received education from Shriram College of Commerce and during this time became a part of Little Theater Group. The theater experience inspired him to take up acting as a career.

Gulshan Grover had a large family, in which he was one of seven siblings. In such a situation, it was difficult for the family to bear the expenses of the education of all the children. Gulshan started earning along with studies. Before going to school, he used to go to the houses of rich families and sell detergent powder and phenyl tablets. He used this earning to pay his school fees. This struggle became the strength of his life and he carried forward his dream of acting.
Journey of learning in acting
After completing college, Gulshan Grover came to Mumbai and trained at the Roshan Taneja School of Acting. After learning acting, he started teaching acting to others as well. During this time, he taught the nuances of acting to artists like Sanjay Dutt and Sunny Deol. Apart from this, artists like Tina Munim and Kumar Gaurav have also been his disciples. It is said that from this teaching he earned around Rs 4 thousand in the initial phase.
Got recognition from the film 'Ram Lakhan'
The 1989 film 'Ram Lakhan' was an important film in Gulshan Grover's career. In this she played the character of Kesariya Vilayati. His 'Badman' style and dialogues gained immense popularity among the audience. After this, the name 'Badman' became a part of his identity.
In his long career, Gulshan worked in many popular films like 'Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi', 'Sadma', 'Yes Boss', 'Lajja', 'Ram Jaane', 'Sooryavanshi' and 'Dilwale'. He did not just limit himself to Bollywood, but also appeared in many international projects.

Gulshan Grover had two marriages in his personal life. His first marriage was to Philomena Grover in 1998, with whom he has a son, Sanjay Grover. However, they divorced in 2001 after a few years of marriage. After this, she married Kashish Grover for the second time in 2002, but this relationship also did not last long and the couple separated the very next year. After two failed marriages, Gulshan Grover felt lonely in his personal life, but he never distanced himself from his work.
