New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed appointment letters to more than 51 thousand newly appointed youth in various government departments and organizations through video conferencing at the 20th Employment Fair on Saturday. This employment fair was organized at 45 places across the country. With this, the total number of youth who received appointment letters through employment fairs has increased to around 12.75 lakh.
Congratulating the newly appointed youth and their families on this occasion, the Prime Minister said that today has brought new happiness in the lives of thousands of families. He said that behind the success of the youth, along with their hard work, the contribution of parents and family members is also important.
New employment opportunities are created with development
Prime Minister Modi said that new opportunities are created for the youth only when the country's economy progresses, investment increases, new industries are established and new sectors develop. He said that India is among the fast growing big economies today.
According to the Prime Minister, India's growth rate in the first quarter of the current financial year was 7.8 percent, while investment increased by about 12 percent. He said that the reforms made in the last years have made an important contribution in India's development journey.
Confidence in the talent of Indian youth increased in the world
PM Modi said that the talent and skills of Indian youth have won the trust of the world. The world has great expectations from India's innovators, entrepreneurs and youth power.
Referring to the recently concluded BRICS conference, he said that it is India's effort that BRICS cooperation should not be limited to governments only, but entrepreneurs, farmers, women and youth should also become active participants in this partnership. India has signed free trade agreements with about 40 countries in the past years and according to the Prime Minister, these agreements are opening new doors of possibilities for the youth.
Role of youth in the goal of developed India by 2047
The Prime Minister said that the newly appointed youth have joined the Government of India at a time when the country is moving towards the big goal of making a developed India by 2047. He said that youth will play an important role in achieving this goal.
He appealed to the newly appointed employees to understand the aspirations of the youth and fulfill their responsibilities with full commitment. The PM said that the decisions taken while in government service should strengthen the mission of a developed and self-reliant India.
Enthusiasm among youth through poetry
During his address, Prime Minister Modi also read lines from a poem-
“The sun should be ours, the sea should also be ours.
The boat should be ours, the sailor should also be ours.
Write victory on the waves, may that courage be ours.”
He said that today the youth of India are moving forward with this same enthusiasm. He asked the newly appointed youth to fulfill their responsibilities in a better way by understanding the aspirations of other youth of the country.
Jitendra Singh said- Transparency and timeliness has changed in the appointment process.
Addressing the employment fair, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh said that this is the 20th organization of the employment fair started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2023.
He said that after assessing the employment fairs so far, along with the increase in the number of appointments in government jobs, there has also been transparency and time-limit discipline in the recruitment process.
Dr Jitendra Singh mentioned the recruitment through major recruitment agencies like UPSC, SSC and Railway Recruitment Board and underlined the process of connecting youth with government services through job fairs.
