New Delhi, 20 September 2026: BJP leaders have strongly criticized Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi for his comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the 'Goonj' program organized for the students of opposition parties in Indore.
Rahul Gandhi clearly indicated through his conversation and body language with stand-up comedian Pulkit Mani on stage that he was making fun of Prime Minister Modi. In a video statement this morning, BJP national spokesperson C.R. Keshav said that Rahul Gandhi has insulted women by making fun of a mother.
'Rahul Gandhi is promoting uncivilized culture'
Keshav said, “No cultured and right-thinking person would find such indecent and indecent behavior amusing, yet Rahul Gandhi was seen laughing loudly on the same stage where he was present with him. Rahul Gandhi encourages such an indecent culture, that is why both he and Congress have failed to connect with the youth.”
'Even from Delhi University they came to take out the hanki'
He had said that Congress leader Shashi Tharore has also accepted the failure of this front party. Referring to the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) elections, he said, “Rahul Gandhi's politics of bitter hatred is the reason due to which the Congress party and its student wing NSUI had to leave Delhi University.”
'The elderly were insulted shamelessly.'
BJP spokesperson said, “On one hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi showed sensitivity by arranging a chair for an old man, while on the other hand, Rahul Gandhi was seen enjoying yesterday when such old people were being shamelessly insulted. Rahul Gandhi, who supports such pranks and vulgar circus-like spectacles, cannot be taken seriously as a political leader.”

Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi, in a post on
Attacking Rahul Gandhi, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said, “Congress has now become only a party of comedians and clowns. Their permanent end has come.”
