The Indian Under-19 team is playing an unofficial ODI series against Australia. In the second match of the series, opener Aryaveer Sehwag batted brilliantly for India. The Indian team batted first at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot. Aryaveer came to open with captain Lakshya Rajesh Raichandani. When Lakshya scored 11 runs on 29 balls, Aryaveer made his intentions clear by hitting fours from the very beginning.
Aryaveer Sehwag run out
An inning of 47 runs came from the bat of Aryaveer Sehwag. He faced 48 balls and hit 9 fours during this. Due to being run out, he had to return to the pavilion and missed the fifty. With the target for the first wicket, Sehwag added 46 runs in 45 balls. In this, Aryaveer contributed 21 runs and Lakshya contributed 11 runs. There was a partnership of 55 runs with VK Vineet for the second wicket. Aryaveer was run out due to poor coordination with Vineet.
Indian team scored 341 runs
Batting first against Australia, the Indian Under-19 team scored 341 runs for 7 wickets. Yashvardhan Chauhan, who came at number four, played an innings of 122 runs. He hit 15 fours and two sixes in 100 balls. VK Vineet scored 87 runs on 92 balls with the help of 4 fours and 6 sixes. There was a partnership of 132 runs between Vinish and Yashvardhan. Kushagra Ojha scored 34 runs in 20 balls. Rahul Dravid’s son Anvay, who came to bat at number six, scored 9 runs on 8 balls. He came to the crease in the 47th over.
The first match of the three-match series was won by the Indian Under-19 team. Due to rain in Rajkot itself, the match was played of 20-20 overs. India scored 182 runs for 6 wickets while Australian Under-19 team could score only 175 runs.
