Malaysia Gets 8GB RAM for RM2,499
Malaysia provides another example of OPPO tailoring the phone by region. The A7 Pro Max 5G is officially priced at RM2,499 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration, according to BERNAMA’s report on OPPO Malaysia’s launch. The model is available through OPPO Malaysia’s official and authorised distribution channels.
This is significant since the international version of A7 Pro Max 5G is not just a single configuration for the entire world. OPPO’s global specifications list both 6GB+256GB and 8GB+256GB versions, while the current Austrian specifications of OPPO have 6GB+256GB, and Thailand specifications have 8GB+256GB.
The 10,000mAh Battery Remains the Main Attraction
The hardware story has not changed: the A7 Pro Max 5G’s defining feature is still its 10,000mAh battery. The official specifications by OPPO list the capacity of the battery as 10,000mAh typical and 9,700mAh rated capacity. The battery has the support of 80W SUPERVOOC and 80W UFCS wired charging.
However, what makes the battery special is the chassis. While carrying a battery capacity that usually belongs to bigger phones, the thickness of the A7 Pro Max 5G is 8.57 mm. OPPO says that its weight is approximately 226g for Surfing Blue and 224g for Lunar Black. That combination gives the phone a more conventional smartphone form factor instead of making the battery capacity the only physical story.

The A7 Pro Max 5G comes with a 6.78 inches flexible AMOLED screen having a 2772 × 1272 resolution and a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate. OPPO has specified the use of 10-bit color depth, 100% DCI-P3 color space, and a maximum 1,800-nit HBM brightness. On the inside, there’s the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 Mobile Platform alongside LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. This means that the chipset is definitely part of the device’s hardware configuration, although the name shouldn’t be used for unsupported performance claims.

Photography is built around a 50MP main rear camera with autofocus and two-axis OIS, accompanied by a 2MP monochrome camera. On the front is a 50MP camera with a roughly 100-degree field of view, giving the phone an unusually wide selfie setup for group shots.
