The television commercial of the Tata Sierra Dark Edition has been shared on YouTube by Tata.Cars on their channel. It starts off with the vehicle being hidden under the black cloth. Following this, the Indian Women’s Cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur, dressed in a complete black attire, enters the frame. She is then seen standing in front of the vehicle.
After this, the video then shows glimpses of the vehicle from different angles. And finally, the black cover is taken off the Sierra Dark Edition, and it reveals the completely blacked-out appearance of the vehicle. Harmanpreet Kaur can then be seen checking out the vehicle, and she also takes the seat behind the steering wheel. The video highlights the new all-black exterior and the fully black interior with contrast stitching.
As mentioned above, Tata Motors has officially launched the new Sierra Dark Edition in India, and it starts at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). From there, it goes all the way up to Rs 21.59 lakh. The special edition is based on the recently introduced Sierra Legend Series and offers a darker exterior and interior theme to the SUV. It is finished in a new Friesian Black shade, and chrome elements have been replaced with black and dark chrome finishes.
The Sierra Dark also gets a #DARK emblem on the front fender and dark-finished alloy wheels. The overall exterior design of the Sierra Edition is the same as the standard model, but Tata has added a number of dark-themed elements to give it a different look.
The front and rear skid plates get a Satin Midnight Black finish. Meanwhile, the Tata and Sierra logos are finished in Piano Black and Dark Chrome. The 19-inch alloy wheels get a Jet Piano Black finish with diamond-cut detailing and tinted black lacquer. Meanwhile, the roof rails are also finished in black. The SUV continues to get the sleek connecting LED light bar at the rear.
On the inside, the cabin is finished in an all-black theme called Violet Eclipse. The dashboard, front armrest and door inserts get Granite Black art leather with a Soft Volume 3D pattern. And purple inserts have been used around the air vents, front console and door deco areas.
The seats also get purple stitching and Dark graphics on the front headrests. Other details include Dark Chrome finishes on the start-stop switch ring and inner door handles. It also gets Piano Black and Satin Midnight Black elements across the cabin.
The Sierra Dark Edition is being offered across the Pure L, Pure L (O), Pure+ L, Adventure+ L, Accomplished and Accomplished+ variants. It is available with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated Revotron petrol engine, which makes 106 bhp and 145 Nm. The 1.5-litre Hyperion TGDi turbo-petrol engine, which makes 160 bhp and 255 Nm, and the 1.5-litre Kryojet turbo-diesel engine, which produces 118 bhp, are also being offered.
The diesel engine makes 260 Nm with the manual and 280 Nm with the automatic. Meanwhile, the gearbox options of the Sierra Dark Edition include 6-speed manual, 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and 6-speed automatic units, depending on the engine and variant.
