Mumbai: Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia are set to showcase a different side of their on-screen pairing with the release of ‘Thummak Thummak’, the latest song from their upcoming film The Vvaan.
After offering glimpses of the track in the film’s trailer, the makers have now released the full dance number, bringing the two actors together in an upbeat and colourful setting.
A vibrant change of mood
While The Vvaan introduces Sidharth and Tamannaah’s characters against a backdrop of romance, mystery and supernatural elements, ‘Thummak Thummak’ shifts the focus towards music and dance.
The song features the actors in a more relaxed setting as they perform to its energetic beats. Its colourful visuals and dance-oriented presentation offer a lighter contrast to the mysterious world established in the film’s promotional material.
The track also gives Sidharth and Tamannaah an opportunity to explore their on-screen pairing beyond the central mystery and supernatural elements of the story.
Folklore and fantasy at the heart of The Vvaan
The Vvaan is set in a world shaped by folklore, ancient beliefs and supernatural forces. A forbidden forest forms an important part of the film’s narrative, creating the setting for its fantasy-driven story.
The addition of ‘Thummak Thummak’ introduces a celebratory element to the film’s larger world. The song combines the lead pair’s dance performances with an energetic musical arrangement, providing a distinct mood within the folklore-based narrative.
The film brings together TVF’s Arunabh Kumar, director Deepak Mishra and producer Ektaa Kapoor for a commercial project inspired by Indian folklore.
Tanishk Bagchi composes the track
Released under the Zee Music label, ‘Thummak Thummak’ has been composed and produced by Tanishk Bagchi.
Dev Negi and Akasa Singh have lent their voices to the track, while the lyrics have been written by Shabbir Ahmed and Tanishk Bagchi.
Bosco Martis has choreographed the song. Additional programming has been handled by Ankush, with additional percussion by Krishna Kishor.
The music video places Sidharth and Tamannaah at the centre of the choreography and adds a colourful, festive layer to the film’s promotional campaign ahead of its theatrical release.
The Vvaan expands its fantasy world
Beyond the feature film, the makers have also expanded The Vvaan universe through The Legend of Vvaan comic book.
The film combines adventure, mystery and humour with elements of Indian folklore and fantasy. Its supernatural setting and forbidden-forest narrative form the central backdrop, while music and character-driven moments add different dimensions to the story.
Presented by Balaji Motion Pictures, a division of Balaji Telefilms Ltd, in association with TVF and 11.11 Production, the film stars Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead roles.
The screenplay is written by Arunabh Kumar and the film is directed by Deepak Mishra. Manu Anand serves as the director of photography and Visual Director.
