The multi-day match between India A Women and Australia A Women scheduled to start from September 29 to October 2, has been shifted from Dharamshala to Mohali on account of the incessant rain and the muddy outfield and ground conditions.
The match will instead be held at the PCA IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali, which also hosts the ongoing three-match One-Day women's series between the two countries, the BCCI said in a media release. This is after India A Women chased down a 236-run target to win by four wickets in the opening 50-over match.
India A Women, Australia A Women series moves to Mohali
India A were reduced to 46 for three during the chase before Tejal Hasabnis and Anushka Sharma steadied the innings with a match-winning 126-run partnership. Hasabnis top-scored with a well-struck 81 off 82 balls, which included six sixes, while Sharma remained unbeaten on 55.
Earlier, disciplined spells from Vaishnavi Sharma and Raghavi Bisht helped India restrict Australia A to 235. The visitors had made a positive start after Tahlia Wilson and Rachel Trenaman put together an 81-run opening partnership.
Australia A had swept the three-match T20I series 3-0 after all three matches were played at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh.
The second One-Day match is currently being played at the PCA IS Bindra Stadium, with the third and final fixture also scheduled at the same venue on Friday.
