The trade war is over. Chinese President Xi Jinping set foot in Washington after a decade. Forgetting protocol, he was welcomed at the airport by US President Donald Trump. Xi was greeted by a 100-foot long red carpet, B-1 bombers.
After a long trade war, the two countries reached an agreement in October last year. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant announced a two-month extension of the deal as Xi arrived in the US for a three-day visit on Thursday. Trump shook hands with Xi Jinping at the airport. After that, the two heads of state stood side by side and took a picture. Peng Liyuan, wife of Xi Jinping, was also present. There was a 100 feet long red carpet, cannons, special guards to welcome the Chinese President. In between, two B-1 bombers of the US Air Force roared in the sky.
Xi Jinping's visit to Washington is to attend an important summit on trade and security. He will participate in a very important bilateral meeting with Trump. This is the second meeting between the two heads of state in six months. After 11 years, the visit of the Chinese President to Washington is therefore under the attention of international experts. As Taiwan will be from artificial intelligence in the discussion, there will also be the issue of Iran war from bilateral trade. Trump-Jinping meeting is supposed to be held in the White House. Dinner is also arranged. Tesla chief Elon Musk, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Apple boss Tim Cook and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang are expected to attend the dinner.
