Aurum Royal Singapore, a four-star boutique hotel in Singapore, has been repossessed by its landlord less than a year of its opening.
The hotel’s profile on booking site Hotels.com said it was closed as of Sept. 2.
Guests whose stays were booked for dates after Sept. 2 received emails from booking platforms informing them that the hotel had closed and offering full refunds, The Edge Singapore reported.

However, some only found out when they arrived at the Erskine Road property, where a notice at the reception desk said the establishment had closed and would not honor any bookings, according to the report.
Singapore-based hospitality management company Grace International, the hotel’s landlord, previously owned and operated The Scarlet Singapore hotel at the same address for two decades before closing it in May 2025. Aurum Royal Singapore opened at the site in November that same year.
