On the other hand, Mamata Banerjee's party MP Mahua Moitra has filed a complaint against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar at the Parliament Street Police Station in New Delhi. It alleges criminal conduct in the functioning of the Election Commission. Mahua Moitra said that Gyanesh Kumar took the decision without the consent of the other two election commissioners. It is not official work to deprive real voters of their rights. They cannot get any exemption. They should be prosecuted.

Congress has directed all state units to take out protest marches to the state Election Commission offices on September 25.
