Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will head into the IPL 2027 season with their coaching setup in focus as the franchise prepares for another campaign in the Indian Premier League.
The SRH head coach will play a key role in shaping the team’s plans, player development and overall strategy as the franchise looks to build a competitive squad for the upcoming season.
With the coaching setup continuing into IPL 2027, SRH will aim to maintain consistency while working on squad planning and preparations for the new campaign.
The franchise will also focus on strengthening its support staff and defining the roles of its coaching team as preparations for IPL 2027 gather pace.
The new season will also bring a fresh chapter for the franchise, including the SRH IPL 2027 jersey and its latest design. SRH’s preparations will also include their commercial partnerships, with the IPL 2027 sponsors list covering the franchise’s key sponsors.
IPL 2027 SRH Head Coach
Former New Zealand cricketer Daniel Vettori will be coaching SRH for the upcoming IPL 2027 season.
Daniel Vettori started his coaching career in 2014 when he was appointed as the head coach of RCB in 2014. Vettori remained in the position till 2018 before being replaced by Gary Kirsten.
Before joining SRH in 2023, he worked with multiple national and domestic teams. He was appointed as a spin bowling coach for the Bangladesh national side in 2019. In August 2019, Vettori was appointed as the head coach of the CPL franchise Barbados Royals.
In May 2022, Vettori joined the Australian men’s national team as an assistant coach. In 2023, he was appointed as the head coach of SRH.
IPL 2027 SRH Batting Coach
Hariesh Jaikumar joined the Sunrisers Hyderabad support staff ahead of the IPL 2024 season. He initially came on board as the team’s assistant batting coach.
In addition to his primary coaching duties, he has also contributed significantly to the franchise behind the scenes, serving as talent scout for SRH since August 2022.
IPL 2027 SRH Bowling Coach
With no official retentions or changes are announced, Varun Aaron will continue to serve as bowling coach for the upcoming IPL 2027 season.
Varun Aaron has been appointed as the bowling coach ahead of the IPL 2026 season, working alongside spin consultant Muttiah Muralitharan.
Following his IPL retirement in 2014, Muralitharan was roped in as the bowling coach and mentor of the Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2015. His IPL 2026 appearance will mark his 11th anniversary with the Hyderabad-based franchise.
