Panchayat actor Aasif Khan is being called out by Gauahar Khan after his ‘real men’ remark.
The 35-year-old actor found himself under scrutiny on Bigg Boss 20with host Salman Khan criticising his behaviour toward the show’s housemates.
But it seems like the criticism didn’t end there, as Bigg Boss 7 winner Gauahar Khan also called him out online.
Taking to Instagram on September 25, the 43-year-old Indian actress slammed Aasif for his comments on the latest episode, saying, “I have a question, Aasif’s career in acting is going well, he shouldn’t have come on the show to showcase such small thinking and really silly behaviour, when that girl was dissing Uditi, in the most low manner, he was enjoying like they are all his thoughts.”
“Felt bad seeing that. Such a good actor but such a narrow minded way of thinking about everything,” she added.
Continuing, “A moustache is supposed to be a sign of manhood, hahaha. In Islam, isn’t it Sunnah for Muslim men not to have a moustache? Has he forgotten that? A man’s true identity is reflected in his broad-mindedness and behaviour! Wish he knew that!”
So what led to the backlash?
While putting the “rejected” stamp on Yung DSA’s face, Gullu said Yung seemed to believe he was running the house, but argued that he wasn’t actually in charge.
He also pointed to Yung’s decision to style everyone’s moustache alike, suggesting it reflected Yung’s expectation that the group members would follow his direction.
Aasif later found himself with the most “rejected” stamps, but he still defended Yung when the moustache issue came up.
“We come from Rajasthan, this is our identity, aur muchmundo ko mandon mein nahi karte hum. Isliye daadi aisi hai (We come from Rajasthan. This mustache is our identity, and we don't consider men without mustaches to be real men),” he remarked.
