Tezzbuzz Desk- Nikon has launched its new Z5II C full-frame mirrorless camera in India. The camera comes with an FX-format sensor and a Nikon Z mount. It has features like 4K 60fps video recording, 15 scene modes, AI based autofocus, 5-axis VR and continuous shooting up to 14fps.
The Nikon Z5II C is targeted at users who want a full-frame camera for both photos and video. The camera has 15 different scene modes, which help in adjusting the shooting settings according to different situations. Apart from this, a dedicated button for Nikon Imaging Recipes is also provided in the camera. This allows users to directly use pre-generated photo looks, reducing the need to manually change settings like aperture, shutter speed and ISO every time.
Nikon Z5II C has a 3.2 inch touchscreen display. Through this, tasks like focusing, clicking photos and viewing captured images can be done. The 15 scene modes provided in the camera help in automatically adjusting the necessary settings according to the subject and shooting conditions.
For video recording, the camera supports 4K UHD up to 60fps. However, a 1.5x crop is applied during 4K/60p recording. Whereas full-HD video can be recorded up to 120fps. The camera also features slow-motion recording, allowing videos to be viewed in 4x and 5x slow-motion playback depending on the recording setting chosen. It also comes with REC lamp and red frame indicator to keep the status clear during recording.
The camera has a 24.5MP backside-illuminated CMOS full-frame sensor. EXPEED 7 image processing engine is available with it. The ISO range of the camera is from 100 to 64000. To give a different look to photos and videos, Film Grain feature has also been provided in it, with the help of which grainy and nostalgic effect like a film camera can be added to the content.
Talking about autofocus, the system of Nikon Z5II C can identify 10 different types of subjects. Its auto mode helps in adjusting settings like aperture, shutter speed, ISO and autofocus by recognizing the surrounding scene. The camera works on Nikon's Z mount and can be used with the Nikkor Z lens range.
To capture fast-moving subjects, the camera has the facility of continuous shooting of up to 14fps. Apart from this, AI based autofocus system works to ease the process of focusing on different subjects. The camera also has support for 5-axis VR i.e. in-body stabilization.
For video creators, the Nikon Z5II C supports 10-bit H.265 recording and Nikon N-Log. The camera can record 12-bit N-RAW video on an SD memory card. Apart from this, the camera can also be used for webcam or live streaming by connecting it to PC via USB through UVC/UAC support.
For connectivity, the camera supports Nikon Imaging Cloud. It helps in managing data after shooting. The facility to transfer photos from the camera to the smartphone is also provided. Imaging Recipes can be saved in the camera and used as per requirement and a dedicated button is provided for this.
In India, the price of only camera body variant of Nikon Z5II C has been kept at Rs 1,39,995. Its sale will start in India from mid-October through Nikon stores. The camera will be available in Black and Silver color options.
