Patna. There is news of relief for the travelers returning to Bihar during Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath. In view of the increasing number of passengers during festivals, Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC) has prepared to start a special bus service. More than 100 special buses will run on different routes from September 25 and this service will continue till Chhath.
These buses will be operated from Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and West Bengal to Bihar. Apart from Patna, buses will also be available from Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Purnia, Gaya and Bhagalpur. This will provide additional transportation options to Biharis living in other states to reach home during the festival.
Convenience from AC sleeper to deluxe bus
According to the needs of the passengers, the corporation has kept different categories of buses. These include Deluxe, AC Seater, AC Non-Seater and AC Sleeper. Booking of tickets has started and passengers can book seats through the corporation's website.
The fare varies according to the route and class of bus. For example, the fare from Patna to Ghaziabad is Rs 1,544 for non-AC seater, Rs 1,896 for AC seater and Rs 2,823 for AC sleeper. Whereas the fare from Patna to Varanasi starts from Rs 435.
Bus services will also be available from Patna to cities like Kolkata, Ranchi and Siliguri. Passengers will be able to get latest information about routes and fares during ticket booking. For additional information, BSRTC has also issued a toll free number 1800-345-7251.
