The Uttar Pradesh government has increased the monitoring of hospitals associated with the scheme to provide better and safe treatment to Ayushman card holders. Now strict action will be taken against hospitals which do not follow the rules and set standards of the scheme. For this, a four-member team has been formed by the State Health Agency (Sachij). The team has also started surprise inspection of the hospitals associated with the scheme.

Sachij CEO Archana Verma said that the Yogi government is continuously taking important steps to provide quality benefits of the scheme to the beneficiaries of Ayushman. In such a situation, on the instructions of CM Yogi, surprise inspection is being conducted to check the facilities in the hospitals associated with the scheme.
Also examined the system being adopted
He told that a four-member team conducted a surprise inspection of the hospitals associated with the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Lucknow. During the inspection, the status of infrastructure available in hospitals, human resources, behavior of hospital staff, cleanliness system and proper management and disposal of biomedical waste were examined. During the inspection, information was taken about the facilities being provided to the patients in the hospitals. The team also examined the arrangements being adopted for cleanliness and infection prevention in the operation theater (OT) and ICU of the hospitals.
Cleanliness and safety as per prescribed rules
It was seen whether cleanliness and security arrangements were being made at these places as per the prescribed rules or not. During the inspection, information related to Ayushman Bharat Scheme was also seen in the hospitals. It was also examined whether material giving information about the scheme was installed in the hospital or not and whether correct information was being given to the patients about the facilities available under the scheme.

The CEO of Sachij said that all the hospitals associated with the Ayushman Bharat scheme are required to follow the rules of the scheme. This is among the priorities of Yogi government. It is the responsibility of the hospital administration to treat the beneficiaries coming to the hospital well and to provide them a clean and safe environment.
OT and ICU arrangements
He said that if any hospital is found not following the prescribed standards during inspection, then action will be taken against it as per rules. All Ayushman affiliated hospitals have been instructed to completely follow the rules and set standards of the scheme. Hospitals have been asked to pay special attention to cleanliness, treatment of patients, availability of staff, disposal of biomedical waste, arrangement of OT and ICU and providing information about Ayushman Yojana to the patients.
