Bollywood actor Kartik Aryan thanked Lord Ganesha at Mumbai's famous 'Lalbaugcha Raja' pandal, a day after his first National Film Award win. He received this honor for his courageous and historical acting in the film 'Chandu Champion'. Karthik went to the pandal and offered his national award at the feet of Bappa.

On Wednesday, Karthik was seen in blue traditional kurta in the court of Lalbaugcha Raja. He worshiped Bappa and emotionally placed his National Award at his feet. He shared a picture of this spiritual moment on social media, in which he wrote, “My happiness-maker, sorrow-remover. Blessed beyond words. Thank you Bappa!!”

Karthik received the Best Actor award at the 72nd National Film Awards ceremony held in Gujarat on Tuesday. He shared this award with veteran actor Mammootty, who was honored for his performance in 'Brahmayugam'.
Karthik's character in the film 'Chandu Champion'
In the film 'Chandu Champion', Karthik played the role of India's first Paralympic gold medalist Murlikant Petkar. Directed by Kabir Khan, the sports biopic will release in 2024 and also stars Vijay Raaz, Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma and Rajpal Yadav.

Although the film did not achieve the expected success at the box office, Karthik's performance was praised. After receiving the award, she shared a video of the moment her name was announced on stage.

Kartik will next be seen in the fantasy comedy film 'Nagzilla' directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, in which he will play the role of a wishful serpent. The film was earlier scheduled to release in 2026, but will now hit theaters on February 12, 2027.
