Jodhpur, September 26, 2026: Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon 2026 To pay tribute to the unmatched bravery and extraordinary bravery of the Indian Air Force's only Paramvir Chakra awardee Flying Officer Nirmaljit Singh Sekhon, the second edition of 'Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon 2026' is being grandly organized in Jodhpur. Organized with the theme of 'Run with the passion of warriors', this national class marathon will bind the runners, fitness lovers, armed forces personnel and civilians across the country in a bond of patriotism.

Tribute to the great hero of 1971 war

During the India-Pakistan war of 1971, Flying Officer Nirmaljit Singh Shekho displayed extraordinary courage while protecting the Srinagar airfield. Flying in his Holland Nat aircraft, he single-handedly faced 6 Saber jet aircraft of the enemy country. Even amidst extremely difficult circumstances, he made the supreme sacrifice for the sovereignty of the country without caring for his own safety. Keeping alive the highest traditions of the Indian Air Force This marathon has been organized to carry forward the glorious legacy of this great warrior.

Various running ranges and features

This marathon has been organized in 3 main categories:

21 Kms (Timed Category): Entry Fee ₹299

10 KM (Timed Category): Entry Fee ₹299

5 Kilometer (Fun Run): Entry Fee ₹299

All participants will receive a timing bib, official event t-shirt, finisher medal and refreshments.
