Supaul. A case of forcibly taking away a young man by people in a car in broad daylight has come to light on State Highway-91 in Bihar's Supaul district on Monday. In the incident that took place near Belaganj in Bhimpur police station area, a youth riding a bike was first hit and thrown on the road and after that he was forcibly taken into the car. When the villagers tried to stop and chase them, firing was reported. Police also found a shell from the spot.

The kidnapped youth has been identified as Mohammad Zeeshan Khan, 20, son of Khurshid Khan, resident of Ward-13 of Madhopur Panchayat of Chhatapur police station area.
It is reported that Zeeshan was passing through SH-91 on bike. Near Belaganj, a car hit his bike, causing him to fall on the road. After this the people in the car forcibly took him with them. People present nearby tried to save the young man during the incident.
People who came to stop him were shot
Seeing the young man being taken, some local people tried to stop the car and chase him. During this period, about four rounds of firing have come to light. Police have recovered a shell from the incident site.
A video related to the incident is also viral on social media, in which a crowd and chaos is seen on the spot and a sound like gunshot is heard. However, the video has not been independently verified.
Many police teams started searching
As soon as information about the incident was received, Bhimpur police station reached the spot. Supaul SP Sharath RS also took stock of the incident site. According to the police, information has been received about the youth being taken away in a four-wheeler and firing.
Four to five police teams have been deployed for the safe recovery of Zeeshan and identification of the people involved in the incident. A special team under the leadership of Triveniganj SDPO Dilip Kumar is raiding possible hideouts.
The reason for the kidnapping is not clear yet
The police are currently investigating all aspects including the reason for the kidnapping and the identity of the people involved in the incident. Some reports have revealed different speculations related to a possible dispute, but the reason for the kidnapping has not been officially confirmed by the police.
At present, the priority of the police is to recover the youth safely and reach the people involved in the crime. Investigation of the matter is ongoing.
