Oben Electric has reached another milestone in the Indian electric two-wheeler market. The 10,000th unit of Roar Electric Motorcycle has rolled out of the company’s manufacturing plant in Bangalore. The company currently has more than 150 showrooms in more than 90 cities across 18 states in India. The 3.5 acre plant in Bangalore has an annual production capacity of 1 lakh units.
Oben Electric introduced the Rorr Evo electric motorcycle in May 2026 at a starting ex-showroom price of ₹99,999. This price was applicable for the first 10,000 customers. Interestingly, Rorr Evo has received over 25,000 bookings so far. Therefore, the company has started increasing the production speed to meet the increasing demand.

Oben’s specialty is that the company itself develops and manufactures many of the key parts required for electric bikes. It consists of LFP battery, motor, VCU, charger and proprietary software. The vertically integrated plant in Bangalore gives the company greater control over the manufacturing process. The company aims to set up 200 exclusive showrooms in India by the end of FY27.
The Rorr Evo is powered by a 3.4 kWh LFP battery pack. According to the company, this battery offers 50% more heat resistance and 2 times longer lifecycle than conventional lithium-ion batteries. The bike gets a 9 kW electric motor with IP68 rating. This motor is also developed in-house by Oben.

In terms of performance, the Rorr Evo accelerates from 0-40 kmph in just 3 seconds. The IDC range on a full charge is 180 km and the top speed is 110 kmph. The bike has a seat length of 680 mm with a seat height of 780 mm. Also, the company claims that it is getting 10 liter storage capacity for the first time in this segment. 4 color options are available namely Pulse Red, Neutron Blue, Magnetic Black and Photon White.
Although motorcycles account for a large share of two-wheeler sales in the country, electric motorcycles are still less popular than electric scooters in the electric two-wheeler market. In this scenario, the 10,000th Rorr and 25,000 booking milestone of Rorr Evo is significant for Oben.
