Lucknow: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday welcomed the nomination of Dhanraj Nathwani as the party's Rajya Sabha candidate, saying the move reflects SP's effort to bring new ideas and perspectives into politics.
Reacting to Nathwani's nomination, Akhilesh Yadav said, “I am glad that we got the opportunity to send the new generation and new thinking.” He added that the party wants to build stronger connections with the industrial sector and believes that collaboration with industry leaders can contribute to Uttar Pradesh's development.

The SP chief said Uttar Pradesh needs more industries and investment to create employment opportunities and accelerate economic growth. He said people associated with the industrial sector bring experience and new approaches that can help in the state's progress.

Dhanraj Nathwani Files Rajya Sabha Nomination
Dhanraj Nathwani filed his nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha elections in Lucknow as a Samajwadi Party candidate. The filing took place in the presence of Akhilesh Yadav, senior SP leader Shivpal Yadav and other party leaders.
Along with Nathwani, veteran SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav also submitted his nomination papers for the Upper House.

Dhanraj Parimal Nathwani, son of Reliance Group veteran Parimal Nathwani, has a background in business and sports administration. He is associated with the Gujarat Cricket Association and has also served as Vice Chairman of the Dwarka Devasthanam Samiti.
His entry as an SP Rajya Sabha candidate has drawn attention due to his corporate background and association with cricket administration.
