Digital Desk, Busted. A passenger flight of flydubai going from Dubai to Tel Aviv, Israel suddenly deviated from its scheduled route on Wednesday and reached Saudi Arabia. After receiving the emergency signal from the plane, security agencies in Israel became active. For some time, there was a fear of possible hijacking of the plane. Route changed after emergency code
According to reports, the flight first transmitted the general emergency code 7700, followed by the 7500 code, which is used to alert the aircraft about hijacking or illegal interference. For this reason the matter took a serious turn and Israeli Air Force fighter planes were also activated.
Instead of heading towards Tel Aviv, the plane turned towards Saudi Arabia. After this he landed safely in Tabuk. There have been different reports regarding the number of passengers on the plane, so the exact official number is not clear at this time.
Case related to pilots' dispute?
There has been a difference between the initial information and later reports regarding the cause of the incident. According to the AP and multiple Israeli media reports, the emergency alert was activated during a dispute between the plane's two pilots. However, this claim has not been independently confirmed by the airline company or the concerned aviation authority.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a meeting with security officials amid the incident. After changing the direction of the aircraft and receiving the emergency signal, the entire matter was monitored.
