Meerut. On Wednesday, the court of District Judge Arvind Kumar Mishra convicted Muskan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla in the Saurabh Rajput Murder Case, which became a sensation across the country. After 126 dates and more than 22 testimonies, the trial has now reached the sentencing stage. The court will pronounce its verdict on the punishment of both the convicted accused on October 14.

In the case, the prosecution has demanded death sentence for both of them. DGC Criminal KK Choubey said that the process of all the testimonies and arguments in the case has been completed. The prosecution placed before the court a demand for strict punishment based on the circumstances and evidence of the case.
The dead body was hidden in a blue drum
According to the prosecution, after Saurabh was murdered on March 3, 2025, the body was cut into pieces and hidden in a blue drum filled with cement. On the evening of March 4, Muskaan and Sahil had gone to Himachal. Both returned on 17 March and the murder case was exposed on 18 March. The police arrested Muskaan and Sahil and presented them in the court on March 19. Since then both are in jail.
In July 2025, the case came on trial in the court of the District Judge. After this, continuous hearing took place. Saurabh's brother Bablu Rajput testified eight times in the court. He accused Muskaan and Sahil of killing his brother. Saurabh's mother Renu Rajput also testified in the court about their relationship.
Decision on punishment on October 14
After being convicted, the court will now give its verdict on the punishment of both. The prosecution has demanded death sentence, while the defense has presented its case before the court. The court will give its verdict regarding the punishment on October 14. Along with Saurabh's family, the relatives of both the convicted accused are keeping an eye on him.
