After this, contactless payment can be made from the same card.
no need to remove card
To make payment at the shop, if the card supports NFC i.e. contactless payment and the shop machine also accepts NFC payment, then there will be no need to remove the card. Payment can be made by taking the iPhone to the payment machine. Payment can also be made in a similar manner through Apple Watch. On iPhone, you’ll need to press the side button twice to complete identification using Face ID or a passcode. After this, payment will be made as soon as the phone is taken near the machine. There will be no need to enter card number, PIN or OTP every time.
Limited card support currently
Apple Pay currently starts with limited card support. Initially, select Visa and Mastercard credit cards of Axis Bank can be added to Apple Wallet. The company may add support for more banks and cards in the coming time. Currently support for RuPay card and UPI payment is not available. Therefore, Apple Pay cannot be seen as an option for UPI right now.
You can also make payment on app and website
Apple Pay can also be used for online shopping and apps. This can reduce the need to fill card number, expiry date and other information every time. Apple Pay support for Mac is said to be coming later.
