Voting for 10 seats will be held on October 16.
Voting for 10 Rajya Sabha seats will be held on October 16. In this, elected members of UP Assembly will vote. 37 votes are required to win a seat. Whereas, at present SP has a numerical strength of 95. These do not include SP MLAs Rakesh Pandey, Pooja Pal, Vinod Chaturvedi and Ashutosh Maurya, who voted in favor of BJP candidate Sanjay Seth in the last Rajya Sabha elections. Of these, Pooja Pal is a BJP official, hence the question of her voting for SP does not arise. Of the remaining three, SP is hopeful that two MLAs will return with it in this Rajya Sabha elections.
