BMW has introduced the new generation of its popular 3 series and this time the electric version of this car is in special discussion. New BMW i3 50 xDrive This electric sedan claims to offer a WLTP range of up to 912 km. The car is also technologically advanced with 800V electrical architecture and 400 kW DC fast charging.
469 hp Power and 645 Nm torque
The i3 50 xDrive has a dual electric motor setup and the car gets 469 hp of power and 645 Nm of torque. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds with a 108.7 kWh battery. According to the company, 10 minutes of fast charging can extend the WLTP range up to 423 km.

Second i3 Version also presented
BMW has also introduced another electric version, the i3 40 xDrive. It gets 82.8 kWh battery and 374 hp power. Its WLTP range is up to 710 km. Both electric models feature an electric motor on each axle and all-wheel drive. The i3 M60 xDrive will also arrive next year.
Petrol and hybrid models also remain
The new 3 Series will have electric, petrol, 48V mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrain options. The M350 xDrive is the powerful model in the petrol range, with a 3.0-litre inline 6-cylinder engine and a 48V mild-hybrid system. This engine produces 443 hp of power and the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds.

Big changes in the interior too
The new BMW 3 Series features Panoramic iDrive, a 17.9-inch central screen and an optional 3D head-up display. Operating System X uses touch, physical controls, and voice commands. Features like Amazon Alexa+ and Harman Kardon audio are also available.
Neue Klasse Strength of the Platform
The electric i3 is the first 3 Series based on the Neue Klasse architecture. It uses technologies like Gen6 eDrive, new cylindrical battery cells and bidirectional charging. The electric i3 will be produced at the Munich plant, while the petrol 3 Series will be produced at Dingolfing.
