Upcoming SUV: Honda Cars India has started pre-bookings for its popular SUV Honda Elevate facelift. Customers can book this SUV by paying an initial amount of Rs 21,000 at the company’s authorized dealerships across the country. Many changes can be seen in the new model, from exterior design to cabin and features. The aim of the company is to make it more modern than before by removing some of the shortcomings present in the existing model.
There will be changes in external design
The exterior design of the new Honda Elevate facelift is expected to get some minor updates rather than major changes. In this, changes can be made in the parts related to newly designed bumpers, alloy wheels and lights. However, the overall size of the vehicle is likely to remain the same as the current model.
Newly designed taillights at the rear and changes inspired by Honda’s new global design style at the front can be seen. With these changes, the look of the SUV can become more attractive than before.
New features can be found in the cabin
Some important changes are expected to be made in the cabin of the new Elevate. It may have a large 10.25-inch touch entertainment screen, which may be similar to the one found in the updated Honda City. Apart from this, while maintaining the existing design of the dashboard, new seat decoration and a different type of finish can be given in the cabin.
360 degree camera and ventilated seats
The company can include new features to overcome the lack of some features available in the current model. The new Elevate facelift is expected to come with a factory-installed 360-degree camera and front seat ventilation. These facilities can provide more convenience to passengers during driving and long journeys.
No changes expected in engine and gearbox
The existing 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine may be continued in the new Honda Elevate facelift. This engine produces 121 horsepower and 145 Newton meters of force.
This engine comes with a six-speed manual gear shift option and a seven-speed CVT automatic gearbox. At present, no major changes are expected in the engine and gearbox.
Will there be an option for hybrid engine?
The company also offers a strong 1.5 liter hybrid petrol engine in Honda City. This engine produces 126 horsepower and 253 Newton meters of force. Although Elevate also belongs to City, the company has not yet given the option of hybrid engine in this SUV. There has been no official confirmation of the inclusion of this engine in the new model either.
How much can the new Honda Elevate cost?
Currently, the starting ex-showroom price of Honda Elevate in the Indian market starts from Rs 11.81 lakh and goes up to Rs 16.36 lakh. The price of the new facelift model is also expected to be around this. However, the company has not yet shared official information about the price and sale start date of the new SUV.
