Posted a donkey's photo, wrote the name 'Donkey Father'… still got nursing registration! Questions raised on MPNRC portal

Bhopal. The online system of Madhya Pradesh Nurses Registration Council (MPNRC) is once again under question. NSUI state vice president Ravi Parmar has claimed that the application for nursing registration was made in the name of a donkey on the council's new online portal and allegedly after the entire process, the registration certificate was also issued. After the claim surfaced, questions are being raised on the identity and document verification system of the portal.

Donkey's picture instead of photo, 'Donkey Father' in father's name

According to Ravi Parmar, he himself tested the process of the online portal. It is claimed that in the application, instead of the photo of the applicant, a picture of a donkey was uploaded and in place of the required documents, non-certified documents were uploaded. After this the online fee was also deposited.

Parmar claims that after the process was completed, a nursing registration certificate was issued in the name of the donkey. In the said certificate, instead of the father's name, 'Donkey Father' was written.

However, independent confirmation of this claim has not yet emerged. It also remains to be clarified whether the said certificate was officially valid or a document prepared during some technical process of the portal.

Questions on verification of identity and educational qualification

Ravi Parmar said that if such registration is issued through the official process, then serious questions arise on the system of verification of the applicant's identity, educational qualification and other necessary documents.

NSUI District President Akshay Tomar said that nursing registration is not just an online certificate. Registered nursing professionals are responsible for patient care in hospitals and health institutions. Therefore, verification of educational qualification, institute, mark sheet, photo, identity and other documents is necessary before registration.

NSUI demands independent investigation

Akshay Tomar demanded that it be clarified whether the alleged certificate issued in the concerned name is genuine or was prepared due to some technical or verification related flaw in the online system. He also demanded an investigation into the role of the responsible officers.

NSUI has demanded an independent technical and administrative investigation into the entire matter along with making the investigation report public.

Told the matter related to patient safety

Ravi Parmar said that if a person obtains registration without genuine nursing qualification and later uses it for a job in a hospital, nursing home or any other health institution, it can affect the safety of patients.

He said that nursing registration gives a person professional identity related to health care. In such a situation, checking the identity and educational documents of the applicant is important.

Nursing system has been in question before also

Akshay Tomar said that questions have been raised earlier also regarding nursing colleges and nursing education system in Madhya Pradesh. In such a situation, after the alleged flaw in the online registration process has come to light, there is a need for investigation at the technical and administrative level.

Now the focus is on what action the MPNRC and the concerned departments take on this claim and what is the real status of the online portal revealed in the investigation.
