According to the data, blood sugar of a large number of people in the country has been found to be higher than normal. At the same time, about 40 percent people said that the level of mental stress in their body was very high. Statistics also show that the economic condition of people has a big impact in the matter of getting health check-up done.
According to the data of Workforce Health Index 2026, increased sugar has come in almost 4 out of 10 reports. Of the HbA1c test reports of a total of 7,088 people, 38.7 percent were such that the blood sugar level was at pre-diabetes or diabetes. HbA1c is a type of blood test, which estimates the average level of blood sugar in the body during the last 2-3 months. Therefore, the report of this test gives important information about the long-term blood sugar control of the person.
4 out of 10 people said more mental stress
Along with blood sugar, another data related to mental health emerged. Out of a total of 7,346 people, 40.4 percent reported that the level of mental stress in their body was very high in the last one week. This means that a large number of people have felt themselves under a lot of mental stress.
The data also revealed that the share of families in health insurance related claims was higher than that of employees. Of the total claims, 66.5 percent were related to family members, while the share of claims related to employees was 33.5 percent. This figure shows that health insurance is being used not only by employees but also by their family members in large numbers.
As income increased, full-body health tests also increased.
A huge difference in economic status was also seen regarding health check-up. Among people with annual income of less than Rs 3 lakh, only 15.6 percent reported getting a full-body diagnostic test.
